Moscow Channel represents a most important hydraulic engineering structure in Russia. Since its locks have been in operation for over 75 years, there are numerous cases of concrete disintegration of various nature and extent in the walls of locks chambers. The situation is quite risky due to the growing threat of accidents.The article deals with detection and analysis of destructive processes in the concrete walls of lock chambers, as well as evaluation of their stress-strain state. Gate no. 2 serves as an example, because several signs of its dangerous condition were first detected there (including cracks in the concrete and destruction of concrete). Various methods were employed to reinforce the structure, including consolidation of chamber walls using anchor rods, and reinforcement of camera walls by metal rods. Calculations were made to assess the stress-strain state of the concrete walls of Gate no. 2 of the Moscow Channel. The article includes an overview and analysis of earlier methods of repair and reinforcement of the chamber walls. The authors provide their recommendations on further safety of operation of the structures on the basis of the research findings and their analysis.

The article covers the methodology of calculation of the costs of maintenance and repair of
state-owned items of real estate. Currently, a duly organized system designated for the calculation
of operational costs and for the optimization of the cost of extensive repairs and maintenance, is
a prerequisite for the effective use of financial resources and, above all, the budget. This rule is of
particular importance for state-owned budget-funded facilities.
Having analyzed the concept of the real estate operation and the operating costs of maintenance
of state-owned items of real property, available in multiple sources, the authors identify
the following basic breakdown of costs: the cost of maintenance of facilities, costs associated with
regular preventive maintenance, and maintenance of facilities, utilities and construction sites. The
authors propose specific guidelines designated for the calculation of the cost of maintenance and
repair of items of real estate. In this paper, the authors present their algorithm of calculation of the
cost of maintenance of state-owned items of real estate.
Thus, the proposed system may serve as the instrument of effective management of stateowned
property within the framework of the government policy.

Subject: the structure and architectural-spatial solution of the roadside service facilities along the motor roads of national importance of Belarus in relation to peculiarities of their location and the proposed methods of integration. In this article, methods of integration, into the existing landscape, of roadside service facilities in various parts of the terrain along the highways of national importance in Belarus are presented. The characteristic structure and features of these facilities are determined depending on the proposed methods of integration. Recommendations for their placement and architectural-spatial solution are given. A typical block of premises in the structure of the facilities under consideration was identified. Recommendations on the use of the obtained results are given. Objectives: determination of structure and overall architectural organization of roadside service facilities in Belarus in relation to their placement conditions. Materials and methods: the work was performed by systematization, structural and comparative analysis and generalization of data obtained during field surveys of roadside service facilities, which are located along the motor roads of national importance in Belarus, as well as by interviewing the traffic participants. During the field surveys, photographic and grapho-analytical methods were used. Moreover, a genetic analysis was carried out, a method of theoretical generalization of published materials was applied. Results: the principles and conditions for integration in relation to location of roadside service facilities of Belarus, as well as the structure and some features of the overall architectural solution of the facilities are determined according to the proposed methods. A typical block and an atypical group of premises for the facilities under consideration are identified. Conclusions: the theoretical and methodological foundations of facility placement have been developed, the characteristic structure and features of the overall architectural solution have been revealed, which makes it possible to implement more substantiated and objective solutions with respect to development of the roadside service network. The proposed classification can be used as the basis for architectural-artistic and space-planning solution of the roadside facility. In addition, this concept can be used to develop a list of requirements for appearance of service facilities under construction and for regulation of their architectural and spatial solutions.
