The paper covers the identification of basic investment models applicable to construction
projects. They are needed to substantiate the transformation of the investment system, to identify
the numerical values of the investment process, and to solve the problems that prevent the efficiency
improvement of the investment system. As a result of the analysis, the authors have identified
sixteen models that differ in the mode of investment, investment targets, types of investees,
investors, investment sources, investment methods, investment schemes, repayment patterns,
strategic goals, countries of origin, restrictions imposed on investment resources, payback patterns,
investment period, economic system development, financing procedure, type of investment
period alterations.
The multiplicity and variety of investment models prevent us from performing a comprehensive
comparative analysis; therefore, investment models are to be consolidated into classes that
display higher-level systemic features. As a result of comprehensive comparison of existing investment
models those models that are typical for the construction industry have been identified. They
are (1) mid-term dynamic models, and (2) target-oriented models.
Consideration of the two classes of features prevents us from preparing an exhaustive overview
of the investment process. Therefore, as a result of research of the investment system structure
its backbone element was identified. It represents an investment method that is the basic
classifier. Thus, the basic classifier of an investment model is composed of three basic classificatory
features, including the time, the investee, and the investment method. As a result, a credit
investment model, a security investment model, a cooperative investment model, a project investment
model, an economic investment model, a centralized investment model, a share investment
model, and a combined investment model were identified.

Classification of the processes in an enterprise is a methodical basis for the solution of the problems of identification and reference of processes to concrete category depending on a classification sign that in turn is the basis for the choice of management tools of the processes and of an enterprise in general. The classification of processes is one of the problems of information search consisting in reference of the process to one of several categories on the basis of certain classification criterion. Rather often some authors make terminological mistake in their works when they refer to all the processes at an enterprise to the category “business process”, including management processes, and supporting processes. The classification of the processes of an enterprise has to be carried out with a definite purpose: it can be carried out for ensuring systematic studying and completeness of coverage of the studied subject domain, or for the purpose of business management on the basis of process approach. The first purpose provides exclusively analytical character of solvable tasks of studying the processes of the enterprise and doesn’t allow developing recommendations on the solution of management problems of the organization. In the second case it is quite possible to use classification of processes of an economic entity as a business management mechanism basis on the ground of process approach. According to the offered classification three groups of processes of the enterprise are defined: management processes (management), business processes (the main processes) and the providing (auxiliary) processes. These classification criteria will allow identifying the processes of the enterprise and defining the system of their interaction. The hierarchy level of the processes allows determining the duration of life cycle of the processes and is the basis for processes planning. Vertical and horizontal processes allow defining the roles, powers and responsibility of linear and functional heads of the organization. Depending on the scale of the organization the presented classification can be concretized concerning business processes. The developed classification allows referring any process of the enterprise to one of the categories, determining the level of its hierarchy and its orientation which is a basis of the choice and formation of management instruments of processes and of an enterprises in general.

The authors consider theoretical issues of the present-day interpretation and applicability of
the terms and concepts of the engineering geology and geoecology. The authors propose a new
approach to the formulation of definitions of the founding concepts of major categories of the engineering
geodynamics as the constituent part of the engineering geology. At the current stage of
development of the geoecology, the processes and phenomena typical for the geological environment
considered from the viewpoint of civil engineering are regarded as geoecological rather than
engineering and geological.
Examples of incorrect interpretation of these concepts of engineering geology replace the
study of the processes and phenomena of the engineering geology by the study of exogenous
processes in the upper zone of the earth crust. Negative processes underway in the geological environment
that are considered within the framework of the engineering geology should be assessed
as geoecological. The assessment of the present-day use of the term "geoecological processes and
phenomena" is based on the principle of indecomposability and unity of the geosphere. This fact
serves as the basis for the modern interpretation of concepts of engineering geology or geoecology
that relate to the geological environment and its use as the setting of construction works.
The authors demonstrate that the pollution of the atmospheric air or its transparency affect
structures. It causes changes in the hydrogeological conditions that may cause a flood or reduction
of the level of underground waters that influence the behaviour of bases of constructions.
Anthropogenic impacts that cause the temperature and chemical pollution of the subterranean hydrosphere
can lead to the dissolution of rocks, trigger karst processes, boost the speed of underground
waters, and, thus, trigger the mechanical suffosion in the sands. The concept of geoecological
processes and phenomena as the basic categories needs the assessment of the geological
environment when exposed to the anthropogenic impact.
